FUNDRAISE FOR US
Fundraising Events are a fantastic and fun way for people of all ages and abilities to help raise valuable funds for the work of The Salvation Army.
The event itself can be anything from a sponsored silence held by a school, a tea party held by a group of friends, running a marathon or even climbing Mount Everest! Whether you want to achieve a life-long ambition or simply do something to help others, taking part in a Fundraising Event really will make a difference to the work that we do.

VOLUNTEER FOR US
There are many practical reasons for volunteering. This includes meeting new people, gaining new skills, going on an adventure, improving your CV. But, the contribution you make can make a huge difference in someone else's life too. The Salvation Army works with some of the most disadvantaged people in our communities, including homeless people, older people and those suffering from drug and alcohol addiction as well as tackling poverty and environmental issues. Whatever age you are, The Salvation Army has many opportunities for volunteers; from running activities and classes in community centres, preparing and serving food at lunch clubs and community cafés, helping at a charity shop, or serving meals to people who would otherwise be on their own on Christmas Day.
Call Tom Clark at the Corps on 01253 626114 to find out about local volunteering opportunities.
